CLOSER NEWS AND NOTES:
Mariano Rivera was out tonight with stiffness in his left side and is listed day-to-day.
SAVES:
Joba Chamberlain (1) - Joba looked great tonight filling in for Rivera. He needed 15 pitches, striking out one and walking one.
Neftali Feliz (6) - Looked outstanding. His control wasn't perfect, but he struck out two in a perfect inning.
APPEARANCES:
Francisco Cordero - Entered a tie game and pitched a quality inning. Recorded a strikeout and gave up one hit.
Ryan Franklin - He was needed to finish off a late rally and he did something I never saw him do before. He faced two batters and struck out both! Way to go Franklin. Raised his strikeouts on the season from 5 to 7.
Brad Lidge - Lidge looked much better today from his first appearance since coming off the DL. He recorded two strikeouts and gave up a hit.
